We are back home and the pups are back to spending time in the barn -and a newly expanded barn at that. Tomorrow's setup with feature a 4 way tunnel, a strange set of stairs to nowhere and the adventure box again. We did 3 adventure walks, met more new people, and some individual training time.

Another busy day with lots of driving so not a lot of photos. Here are a few pics from last night's kitchen party with the pups - a good time was had by all. As well, a preview of their going home collars which are awesome!
Another big day for the NASCAR litter! We did multiple woods walks, crossing logs and varying terrain, did solo visits to a church, met more family, had a play session with a home health care worker and had their first experience with live birds - chukkars. These are all very birdy pups!! Finally, they sleep. Not a lot of pictures from today but I managed a few.
The NASCAR pups are on a big road trip - all the way to Rob Roy to see my parents and Bruce's mom.. They did fantastic in the car - making it 4 hours before we stopped in Uxbridge. They had their first real woods walk in actual woods, met their nieces and my family.
The pups are 6 weeks old today - crazy! At least the rain has stopped and we got two adventure walks in today. My good friend Catherine was generous enough to host a play date for them AND send me pictures to share with you all. The barn set up with new and featured a different adventure box and a swing - which was great fun. They are growing like weeds. After spending two days in puppy playland aka the barn, it's very obvious that they have outgrown my living room. It's great for evenings and overnight, but they definitely need the added space that the barn offers. Enjoy the pics and videos! Cold and pouring rain so we didn't get much of an adventure walk in, So instead, we spent spending most of the time in the barn. The pups had some visitors this morning and then enjoyed the barn pen's new set up. We were able to get in a quick adventure walk before the weather turned really nasty. Then it was off to explore the barn play land for a bit. The NASCAR pups had a fantastic afternoon, I dropped them off at my friend Catherine's house for an afternoon visit with her and a number of her friends. What a terrific experience for them! I can't thank you all enough - for the visit and for the photos! Another busy day int he life of the NASCAR litter. The day started with an adventure walk and then we headed to Cabelas, a trip I was looking forward to for a while. They were a smash hit! I think it took us over an hour to navigate just 1/2 the store. But what a great experience. They have certainly well surpassed their goal of 100 new people. Also, I'm so glad we went when we did because these guys are not going to be contained in a shopping cart for long! Then the barn! We got that set up and they checked out their new digs with the goal of tiring them out enough to get some nice photos. We'll see! And, we ended the night with some birds and moving toys. Whew! The NASCAR litter started a chilly, frosty Saturday with an adventure walk - some very nice following today. A good romp in the kitchen after breakfast while I cleaned the pen and we had pups ready for naps while I went to stock up on more dog food. We put a ramp onto the front porch which is an incredible eyesore but is sure nice for getting pups outside vs carrying them two at a time. We had intended to visit an apple orchard this afternoon as their field trip but they have closed for the season so we hung out at Walmart instead. In hindsight, this was great for the pups - LOTS of people, lots of cars, carts and car alarms etc. Despite having t0 tell people about a billion times that "no, the pups were not for sale!", the pups had a great time and we got to do a little bit of education about why you shouldn't buy a pup from an x pen at Walmart when you just went out to get milk. We'll do this again for sure. Plus, this put another car ride in the books. This plus two more adventure walks throughout the day and peace at last. The NASCAR litter got off to an early start on the weekend with lots of free play and a trip outside all before breakfast, The big news is that we now seem to have a follow and we did the first of their adventure walks. Also lots of fun with Mrs Duck and a good ol' time was had with Bruce's croc. Bring on the weekend! |
