I thought it was a time for a post about the Bonster since all the focus has been on her babies. She's looking good - still overweight by my eye but we're getting her back into shape. Look out squirrels and chipmunks! Doing some fronts and finishes with her - can\t wait to get back to training her. It is so nice to see Bonn being such a good dam to these babies. Sure, she leads them a merry chase when they want to nurse and she doesn't want to be subjected to those teeth but it is so lovey to see her enjoying her babies so much and teaching them such good lessons in dog behaviour.

And that pretty much sums up their day! On the eating front, we are mixing up their protein sources and so far, they haven't met one they didn't like. Rabbit was on the menu today (sorry Sue!) and that was very tasty! Potty training goes well. We have the occasional accident - usually when a new surface enters the pen - the shade tarp today, for example but they're doing very well. Now that we are taking them out up 3 times a day, they seem to potty a lot outside which means I clean the potty boxes less and less - yeah! Walks are coming along. We are walking them in groups of 6 which gives us a better chance of one getting "lost" and learning that he has to keep watching us. Cajun is great company on the walks. Playing - well, yes. They do a lot of that! And after all the above, they sleep. These are great pups and don't wake up until we come downstairs in the morning. Today's set-up was a reprise of many toys they have seen before but all in different places so everything is still new. We are also changing up their pen in the house so there is always new stuff there as well. 
The Road Litter visited the vet today. Per Bonny's nomographs, and with the help of Avidog, we determined that 6 weeks was the optimal time for the pups to receive their parvo and distemper vaccinations. While we were there, they also got microchipped and had a check-up. Everybody looks great and all the boys had two testicles - yeah!! Here's today's Adventure-land set-up. We decided to do an "obedience" theme so we had jumps, gloves, articles, dumbells, and a ring gate - plus a new swing, their bottle pool and assorted other toys. They had bigger walks in the morning and late afternoon but at lunch we went outside and played with the other men in my life. And now, they sleep!!     We switched up their pens again today. Adventure-land was expanded and we added some new toys - a trampoline, a little elevated walk, a noodle toy and yet another potty box. They are doing really well! Thus is a pretty big space for them but we have maybe 1-2 pees that don't hit the box which is pretty amazing! We also added one of the sherpas and will do so until they go home. A good time was had by all. We did a couple of trips outside of varying lengths. Today;s menu was duck which was popular although I haven't found anything they don't like to eat. Their mother is very proud :-)          There are some weird-ass breeds of cats out there. What does this have to do with the Road Litter, you might ask? It's a long story, involving much ranting on my part on the pure incompetence of the CKC, but the bottom line was that it required a trip to the Ottawa Cat Show to hand deliver yet anther copy of the Road Litter's CKC litter registration form to a CKC employee who was there showing. No, I kid you not. On the plus side, I managed to leave without bringing home a Maine Coone kitten which I was sorely tempted to do (as I have always wanted one and his name would be Bean) AND I got to see some weird-ass breeds of cats. Some truly, truly ugly cats. And some just down right freaky. But, I digress. The Roadsters continue to grow in leaps and bounds and judging by the peaceful silence, had a busy day romping about. We had some funny moments when they thought the tents were a tunnel and couldn't figure out why they couldn't run out the end. Ah, puppies! They saw another dead duck in the pen - not for long though once the 12-way game of tug started with it. We had some brief walks but it was a cold, cold day. Cajun has started coming on the walks - he really is enjoying these pups! And Bon has really started to play with them which is really cute.
