The other members of the family

This website is devoted to the dogs but we also share our home  with a couple of other furballs.

This is Virgil.  He's  a very big boy!  Viirgil isn't much of a snuggler.  Instead, he sticks to a "close but not touching" policy.  The exception to this position is Dice.  Dice,  supreme manipulator of all things human or animal, has managed to train Virgil into licking his head whenever Dice  desires.  Which is pretty often!

Virgil is also our escape artist.  He hates to be confined and has  managed to rip his way out of many of our screened windows and the crate in which he travels when he comes  with us on long trips.

He is not a good traveler.

And this is little Emmie.  The Emster.  My golden retriever in a cat body.  Emmie craves attention and likes to wrap her arms around your neck when she is picked up, purring loudly and drooling the entire time.  Luckily, I don't mind a bit of drool.  She's a little thing, but she makes her presence known!

So that completes the household.  Well, except for the 5 pigeons but much to the dismay of the canines and felines, they stay safe and sound in the barn.  At least until the puppies arrive :-)
