My best boy!  Spenser was the dog that epitomized everything a golden should be - gorgeous looks, intelligence, confidence, courage, birdiness and drive.

Another talented obedience dog, Spenser lived for the field!  A chronic, nagging back injury prevented him from continuing to pursue his Master and without the support of the great canine rehab specialists that we have now, we retired him early from field. 

Spenser loved his birds and he retrieved them up until a few hours before his death.  Spenser taught me not to leave pigeons on top of the wire crate in the truck :-)   Of course, he also taught us that soft crates don't work so well either for field training....rip!

He was such a hoot to trial.  This beautiful show dog comes to line and then he just smacks the test!  As it should be.

Miss you more than words can say Spenser!!
