Bonny and I visited the vet yesterday and her pregnancy was confirmed by ultrasound. Ultrasounds are notoriously bad for predicting the number of pups in a litter, but the vet estimated 8. Bonny is starting to show, but hasn't slowed down so we'll continue training her and keeping her active and fit to help the whelping go a little easier. Stay tuned for more!
What a crazy time it's been around here! Just shortly after our return from NH, the Golden Retriever Club of Canada's National and Regional Specialties were held just 10 minutes down the road. Bruce and I ran the WC/I/X tests on Thursday, the CCA on Friday, and just generally helped set up and tear down the rest of the days. Long days, but what a fun time it was to reconnect with good friends that we don't get the chance to see very often.
And I had the opportunity to see some gorgeous dogs, including Manny! Here's a pic of him free stacking with Graeme at the Regional. Isn't he lovely?
